    Stephen Blum

    Stephen Blum serves as Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives (YAA) at Yale University. Prior to joining Yale, Mr. Blum spent over 30 years advising corporate management and owners, including almost 20 years as a Corporate Finance partner at a Big Four accounting firm. He also serves on corporate boards and leads finance-related seminars. Steve holds a BA in Economics from Yale and a Masters in Accounting from the NYU Stern School of Business.

    Jian Yang

    Jian Yang specializes in finance and operations in high growth companies. Jian is currently the head of finance at Opencare, a dental healthcare startup. Prior to Opencare, Jian was head of finance at Industrious, a hyper growth co-working company which he helped grow from $10 to $100 million in revenue in three years. Prior to Industrious, Jian served as CFO and COO at UGE. Jian holds a MBA and Masters in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a BS in Business Administration and International Relations from Carnegie Mellon University.

    Christopher Asimakis

    Chris has over 30 years of energy experience spanning the electric utility, district energy, and distributed renewable energy spectrum. Chris co-founded Potentia Solar, which he grew to become the largest solar rooftop company in Canada, with over 100 megawatts of peak capacity spread over 600 unique sites. Potentia also developed over 20 megawatts of utility community solar power in Minnesota. Prior to Potentia, Chris was the Chief Operating Officer of Enwave Energy Corporation.

    Wendy Liu

    Wendy is the Global Head of Corporate Life & Pensions (CLP), a a division of Zurich Insurance Company. CLP provides commercial customers with employee benefits and value-added services. CLP is present directly in 20 countries, and through the employee benefits network provides coverage to workers in over 140 territories. Wendy joined Zurich Insurance Company Ltd in 2011. She has held various positions in the employee benefits area, including leading the Zurich Global Benefits Solutions team which works exclusively with multinationals.

    Stephen Markscheid

    Stephen is Chairman of Still Waters Green Technology, a UK based renewable energy developer. He serves as independent non-executive director of four publicly listed companies: Fanhua, Inc., Jinko Solar Inc., ZZ Capital International Ltd., and Xiaobai Maimai, Inc. Steve is also a trustee emeritus of Princeton-in-Asia. From 1998-2006, Steve worked for GE Capital. During his time with GE, Steve led GE Capital's business development activities in China and Asia Pacific, primarily acquisitions and direct investments.

    Xiangrong Xie

    Ms. Xie is a successful entrepreneur who has built businesses in China and Cambodia in the natural resources, tourism, bio-medicine, real estate and clean energy sectors. Government related posts Ms. Xie has held include Deputy Director of the Beijing Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the China Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, Vice President of the Federation of Overseas Chinese, Deputy Director of the Overseas Chinese Federation and Deputy Director of the International Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Hebei Province, among others.

    Nick founded UGE with a focus on distributed renewables to address the world’s energy challenges. His leadership and belief in a productive and enjoyable company culture has grown UGE into a global leader. Raised on a Canadian nature reserve, Nick is a Fellow of the Society Actuaries with previous experience at JPMorgan and AIG.
